At last, Witch Mountain has conjured a brand new single for 2016—the first to feature the talents of Kayla Dixon on vocals and Justin Brown on bass.

“Burn You Down” and “Hare’s Stare (2016)” are now available for pre-order on high quality 12” black vinyl at 45rpm. Manufactured locally in Oregon at Cascade Record Pressing.
The record comes in a black sleeve with a big hole, just like your favorite singles of yore. “Burn You Down” is the next chapter in the WM saga--classic traditional American doom, loaded with some surprising new twists. The song will debut on NPR Music on Thursday, August 22.

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
